Kirsten trained in Scotland in 1990 and joined YWAM-Brazil in 1991, where she worked for two years at Belem and also worked for a time in a home for disabled children run by YWAM in Venezuela.
She was part of the Pioneer team to Macapa, along with Nora and Davi.
She has an ongoing vision for the social program in Macapa, having started the Adoni program, the Jireh sponsorship program, (of which she is now Co-ordinator), and the Shalom drop in centre for street boys.
She also helps with the international communications team visits and fund raising
